Data Protection Requests and Complaints

You can ask YGA to exercise any data protection rights available to you, or complain about how we have collected, used or protected your personal data. Depending on the circumstances, your rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection.

You can use our forms below or email us at info@yga.org.uk. You do not have to use the forms. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about your rights.

Submitting a rights request

We will respond without undue delay and usually within one month. We may ask for information that is reasonably necessary to verify your identity. If your request is complex, or you have made several requests, we may extend the deadline by up to two further months. We will tell you within the first month and explain why. For a subject access request, the time limit may stop while we wait for clarification that we reasonably need to identify the information you are requesting. We do not normally charge a fee for handling a rights request.

Making a complaint

We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days. Without undue delay, we will take appropriate steps to investigate your complaint, keep you informed of its progress and tell you the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
